Hartfield, VA Office of Quarles Fuels Sponsored Urbanna Oyster Festival

Superior Plus Propane and our family of brands likes to participate in and volunteer at local community events whenever possible.  This November, our Hartfield, VA office of our Quarles Fuels brand sponsored the 66th Urbanna Oyster Festival for the fifth year in a row.

Urbanna Oyster Festival

The Urbanna Oyster Festival is a large, local event held annually in Urbanna, VA. This longstanding event includes live music, a car show, raffles, parades, and an oyster shucking competition (The Urbanna Oyster Festival – The Urbanna Oyster Festival)! This year, the festival attracted about 50,000 visitors over a two-day period.

A few weeks ago, some members of the Hartfield, VA team participated at the festival by operating a Quarles Fuels booth.  The team handed out fun goodie bags, pop-it toys, frisbees and blankets, and even operated a prize wheel that booth visitors spun for a chance to win prizes like propane and coolers! The team was also in one of the parades– driving a fuel truck and waving to the crowd.  This fun event provided the Hartfield team an opportunity to both engage with members of the local community and to get to know their customers better in a fun setting.
